The Primary Court in Nizwa (Criminal Panel) recently ruled in a case referred by Consumer Protection administration in Dakhiliyyah Governorate. It judged for two-month imprisonment and a fine of OMR two hundred against a sales manager at one of the dairy companies in Dakhiliyyah for violating the Law of Consumer Protection No. 81/2002 and Omani Penal Code No. 7/74.
A team formed from the administration of the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) in the Governorate of Al Batinah North and Health Affairs Dept., at SUhar Municipality has destroyed 1900 packs of expired dairy products seized earlier.
Judicial officers at the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) managed to discover a number of irregularities in Muscat, notably a building materials shop selling liquor in Mawaleh South, in addition to other irregularities. The Authority received a complaint from a consumer complaining that one building material shop was selling alcohol and intoxicants.
