In cooperation with Zawawi Trading Co. PACP launches a recall campaign for 196 Mercedes-Benz cars


PACP, In cooperation with Zawawi Trading Co., started a recall campaign for 617 Mercedes-Benz cars (2015 - 2017).


The campaign started on 24 September 2017 with the recall of 10 C300 AMG cars with VINs 55S205081U043256 - 55S2050481U169722 and WDD2050481R171608 - WDD2050481R177055, 9 C300 4MATIC with VINs 55S2050491U012172 - 55S2050491U011884 and 13 C300 with VINs WDD2053481F318826 - WDD2053481F505185.

The recall also included 6 C300 AMG cars with VINs WDD2054481F422240 - WDD2054481F497023, 52 E200 cars with VINs WDD2130421A023199 - WDD2130421A154141, 38 E300 cars with VINs WDD2130481A074507 - WDD2130481A164298, 63 GLC 250 4MATIC cars with VINs WDC2533461F138004 - WDC2533461F189557 and WDC2539461F003122 - WDC2539461F203834, 4 GLC 300 4MATIC cars with VINs WDC2539491F003418 - WDC2539491F003809 and one E300 AMG with VIN WDD2130491A074966.

The reason of the recall is a possible blockage in the engine starter which will not start the engine due to an increase in pressure under specific circumstances, making various attempts to start the engine will a send a very high current and raise the temperature of the starter than the normal temperature for it to be activated, therefore, the dealer shall check the front and back of the limiter and install a fuse in the electrical circuit of the starter.
These recalls confirm PACP efforts in traffic safety and constant care to conduct continuous reviews of all the available products in the markets of Oman in order to provide the necessary protection for the consumers in all areas.



 No one imagined that greed and deviousness would reach such a staggering level that thought exist only in movies and investigative drama shows , yet it became a stark reality when some merchants sought to make a profit on the account of health and safety of the young and adults alike utilizing the God-given intellect that they posses into destruction and evil instead of serving public good , the devious plan used ( Back to school ) season by carving holes inside books and hiding chewing tobacco inside in away from the inspectors notice targeting the younger generation with these destructive materials that effect the health , mind and safety of our kids .
 The Judicial officers noticed that consumers come very frequently to a specific shop during one of the inspection tours which raised their suspicions to strengthening the monitoring and follow up on that matter , students were spotted in the shop as well , the Officers expediently intervened to inspect the shop , the inspection did not reveal anything at first , however , the officers noticed a stack of books and decided to inspect it , surprisingly , they found more than 600 pouches of chewing tobacco on its way to be sold and distributed on consumers and students , the officers immediately issued a violation and referred the case to the General Prosecution to deal with the matter as per the Law
