To promote consumer awareness among students The Consumer Protection in Ibra carries out a number of awareness activities in the governorate's schools.


The Consumer Protection Department in Ash Sharqiyah North Governorate has recently carried out a number of awareness activities in a number of governorate schools targeting school students, in the framework of promoting consumer awareness among different age groups.


The Department carried out an awareness exhibition for students of Sumaiya for Basic Education School in Ibra, which included models of goods withdrawn from the governorate's markets as corrupt and expired goods, which have no explanatory data, herbal products with unlicensed medical claims, and expired cosmetics. The exhibition also included designs of prohibited materials that show the name of the material, the reason for the ban and the type of procedure used for its withdrawal from the markets.


The Department also presented an event for young consumer at Al-Edrak for Basic Education and Ajyal Ibra Private School, which included a number of activities, such as giving a lecture that covered a number of axes, including the introduction of eight consumer rights, successful and healthy shopping steps in an exciting way that is relevant to their young age, reading some stories for children from the young consumer magazine, distributing coloring drawings from Color and Learning Book that belongs to Consumer Protection. The event also involved a field trip to a shopping mall in the governorate to establish the right purchasing principles in the minds of the young.



 No one imagined that greed and deviousness would reach such a staggering level that thought exist only in movies and investigative drama shows , yet it became a stark reality when some merchants sought to make a profit on the account of health and safety of the young and adults alike utilizing the God-given intellect that they posses into destruction and evil instead of serving public good , the devious plan used ( Back to school ) season by carving holes inside books and hiding chewing tobacco inside in away from the inspectors notice targeting the younger generation with these destructive materials that effect the health , mind and safety of our kids .
 The Judicial officers noticed that consumers come very frequently to a specific shop during one of the inspection tours which raised their suspicions to strengthening the monitoring and follow up on that matter , students were spotted in the shop as well , the Officers expediently intervened to inspect the shop , the inspection did not reveal anything at first , however , the officers noticed a stack of books and decided to inspect it , surprisingly , they found more than 600 pouches of chewing tobacco on its way to be sold and distributed on consumers and students , the officers immediately issued a violation and referred the case to the General Prosecution to deal with the matter as per the Law
