Training program on “Electronic Authentication Service in the Educational Portal and the Student’s Parent App” at the General Bureau of the Authority

The Public Authority for Consumer Protection, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education, represented by the Educational Portal Section at the Information Technology Department, has recently implemented its training program “Electronic Authentication Service in the Educational Portal and the Student’s Parent App”. The program targeted a number of employees of the Authority in all its divisions, in order to raise awareness of the services of the Sultanate of Oman Educational Portal, dissemination of technical awareness to users of digital services provided by the Ministry of Education in addition to the introduction of the electronic certification service in the educational portal and the student’s parent app.

 

 

The program was presented by Ahmed bin Ali Al-Siyabi, head of the educational portal section, during which he dealt with a number of topics, the most important of which is the definition of the methods of registration and access to the educational portal system using a smart civil card reader, and electronic authentication via mobile phone, and the student’s parent app as one of the smart applications addressed to the students’ parents which facilitates the follow-up of the achievement level of children in public or private schools, and the extent of their regularity in the classroom and discipline their behavior, as well as effective communication with those in charge of the educational process in schools. He also touched on the content of the educational portal and the importance of the students’ parents and the most important services provided and the difficulties faced by the students’ parents during access to the educational portal and ways to solve it.

 No one imagined that greed and deviousness would reach such a staggering level that thought exist only in movies and investigative drama shows , yet it became a stark reality when some merchants sought to make a profit on the account of health and safety of the young and adults alike utilizing the God-given intellect that they posses into destruction and evil instead of serving public good , the devious plan used ( Back to school ) season by carving holes inside books and hiding chewing tobacco inside in away from the inspectors notice targeting the younger generation with these destructive materials that effect the health , mind and safety of our kids .
 The Judicial officers noticed that consumers come very frequently to a specific shop during one of the inspection tours which raised their suspicions to strengthening the monitoring and follow up on that matter , students were spotted in the shop as well , the Officers expediently intervened to inspect the shop , the inspection did not reveal anything at first , however , the officers noticed a stack of books and decided to inspect it , surprisingly , they found more than 600 pouches of chewing tobacco on its way to be sold and distributed on consumers and students , the officers immediately issued a violation and referred the case to the General Prosecution to deal with the matter as per the Law
