During his visit to Dhofar Governorate The head of "Consumer Protection" closely monitors the situation of markets and shops

His Excellency Sulayem bin Ali bin Sulayem Al Hakmani, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Authority, this morning toured a number of markets, centers and shops in the governorate with the participation of His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohsen Al Ghassani, Head of Dhofar Municipality with the aim of determining the extent of its stability and ensuring the commitment of suppliers to implement all special regulations and legislation consumer protection. During the tour, the market situation was closely followed up by ensuring the extent to which they were applied to all consumer protection laws and decisions and to ensure that prices were stable and not raised without justification. The importance of adhering to the standards of credibility and transparency with consumers, not manipulating prices, paying attention to the quality of goods and not cheating in them in order to avoid exposure to legal accountability. In addition to the importance of setting prices on all commodities so that the consumer is aware and knowledgeable to determine his options. He also urged them to continue their cooperation with the authority to reach a safe consumer market for both the consumer and the supplier. Al-Hakmani also met with a number of consumers and listened to their observations and suggestions directly to increase the effectiveness of the authority’s performance during the coming period. It is worth noting that this tour comes as part of the visit of the Chairman of the Authority to the Governorate of Dhofar to see closely the Authority's efforts to maintain the stability of markets in the governorate and preserve consumer rights coinciding with the reception of the autumn season.
